In December 2020 I went to the illuminations at Wiston House’s Christmas lights extravaganza. The day has been steady rain, but that eased up as we arrived shortly before dusk. However the air was damp and misty, and the ground underfoot sodden and muddy. But Wiston House’s preparations were good and the walkways provided a comfortable and safe a walk as the conditions allowed.
Amongst the various illuminated trees was this strongly lit red one which stood out from the gloom.
